Colleagues, past and present, (Barry Hendry, Ann Selby and Jane Ward) leadership of and participation in the Birmingham and Solihull Equal Engage Project (2004-2007) was celebrated on the 3rd July as NIACE was presented with Representative Organisation of the Year Award at the Leading the Learner Voice Awards 2008.  The panel particularly liked the resources that were produced.

Winifred Hignel was in the final five for the Outstanding Contribution to the Leadership of Learners award.  Both nominations were made by Rose Huish the  Equal Engage Project Co-ordinator.

Jo Knight received the award from the Centre for Excellence in Leadership on behalf of her colleagues in London at the wonderful Kensington Roof Gardens on Thursday 3rd July. The awards was presented by Lynne Sedgemore CBE, chief executive of the Centre for Excellence in Leadership
