Hugh began as a very nervous student, but managed to achieve the amazing feat of passing Entry 3 Numeracy, level 1 Numeracy, Entry Level 3 Literacy and Key Skills Level 1 Communication in the same academic year – and even handwrote very single literacy draft rather than use a computer. (His teacher is going to make sure that an IT course is his next challenge!) Hugh embraces learning, knows when to ask for support and when to give it to others. His steady, gentle nature and ready smile influences the whole class. Hugh was nominated by Walsall College.  His award was presented by  Ben Fogle on the 28th March 2007
