David was recruited onto a pilot programme to assist people who are out of work and live within disadvantaged areas.  David was successful in securing a place on the Bus Driving programme.  David’s driving theory and practical tests took place at Nottingham City Transport’s Parliament Street Depot.  He never missed a day and he continually undertook the long journey to Nottingham from Warsop for his training.
Noticing David’s perseverance and hard work, Nottingham City Transport offered him a full time job and he is now enrolled onto an NVQ Level 2 Passenger Carrying Vehicle Course. 
David, you should be really proud of your achievements and for overcoming your initial concerns about training. You’ve proved you can do it – we will look out for you on the buses!
